Ellen: “I think at some point in our lives every musician gets a great little musical idea as they’re falling asleep. The underpinning riff in Delve is one such idea that came to me in 2017 at a very busy time, and I didn’t do anything with it until 2021. The title is about listening to, trusting and really following those ideas; not being afraid to dig into your imaginings and create from your subconscious. This, and getting closer to the Earth, both figuratively and literally, is what Underwards is about.
